OLC DANCE CONCERT INFORMATION- FRIDAY, 2ND JULY 2021 WEEK 11

 

Dance Concert Information- Week 11, Friday 2^nd July 2021

Hello Families! On the last day of Term 2, Friday 2nd July (Week 11 commencing at 1.40pm) we will be presenting our first OLC Dance Concert! The students are so excited to show you what they have been working on in class this term.

 **If you know you are away for the last day of term can you please email me asap ellie.haines@cewa.edu.au so I know which students will be absent on Concert Day.**

Please see all class costume information below:

YEAR 3

3M- Summer Theme Costume Requirements:

-Any bright summery outfit that students can dance in eg red, orange, pink, yellow, tie dye, Hawaiian etc to look like they are at the beach!

-Boardies or any colour shorts that stretch please (no skirts/dresses without shorts underneath). 

-Bare feet

-Optional Hat that stays on their head while dancing or hair neat and out of face. Students may wish to bring their hat to class to practice.

 

3L- Winter Theme Costume Requirements:

-Dark colour T-shirt (black, grey, dark blue, dark green etc etc) with a rain coat (any colour/pattern) over the top. If students would like to bring the raincoats to class to practice each week that would be wonderful 😊 If students do not have a rain coat then a jacket is fine.

-Black trackies or long pants that stretch

-Sneakers (any colour)

-AN UMBRELLA PLEASE! Child size preferably (if possible) please. If students can bring this each Tuesday to rehearse that would be greatly appreciated.

 

YEAR 4

4DAN & 4DEL Sport Theme Costume Requirements

-Any sports uniform they already have eg Netball uniform, footy guernseys (can be Eagles, Dockers etc), basketball uniform, swimmer, surfer, dancer, runner, soccer uniform, hockey etc… If you do not have anything that is a specific to a sport students can just dress ‘sporty’ eg shorts/leggings, runners, bright shirt, maybe a sweat band etc…

-All students in runners/sneakers no specific sport shoes (eg no soccer boots) please. High socks are great though! Shin pads if students can dance and break dance in them 😊

-No props or accessories that will come off when dancing please. If wearing a hat please bring to class to practice

 

YEAR 5

5H & 5J Halloween Theme Costume Requirements

-Any Halloween/dress up costume that students can dance in. Does not have to be ‘spooky’ can be any dress up costume you have at home. Please ensure there are no loose parts that can fall off during the dance and that students can move freely in it. If there are dresses/skirts please wear shorts or pants underneath.

-Bare feet

-Halloween inspired hairstyles are encouraged but not compulsory (eg teased pony tail/mohawk etc) but please no hair out (can do half up half down away from face)

 

YEAR 6

6H & 6R School’s Out Theme Costume Requirements

- OLC Leavers shirts

-Funky jacket over the top (denim, leather, sports jacket, blazer, hoodie, wind breaker style etc)

-Any pants/shorts/skirt (with shorts or leggings underneath) of their choice but need to have stretch and move easily

-Sneakers

-Hat- Cap any colour/design

 

OLC Dance Crew- Year 5/6’s

-Favourite funky outfit (that has stretch/student can dance in) bright colours are a plus!

-If students are wearing skirts please wear shorts or leggings underneath

-No crop tops please

-No accessories that may fall off during the dance routine

-Sneakers

-Hair the same as their class dance

*OLC Crew will be performing first then students will get change into their class dance costume backstage
